Sound of the Day Print & Cursive - Digraphs, Sounds and Rhyme

This is a great worksheet for digraphs, single sounds and rhyme families. The children use this worksheet once a week on a new sound they have just learned.  For the digraph version they will write 5 words belonging to that sound, draw 5 pictures corresponding to that word. Then they will write a sentence using one of the words. The last part is a fun 'Guess the word of the day challenge'. I will write a word on my whiteboard and they have to guess it, if they get it right they will get a Class Dojo. To start off you can just use the picture version only if you feel they are not ready for writing.

For literacy stations I have used letter tiles, playdough to make the words.

• Picture only worksheet for sound of the day - The children draw something beginning with that letter, for example if you have 't' in the square box at the top they can draw a tiger, tennis ball, t-shirt etc
• Picture only worksheet for Rhyme of the day - The children draw the corresponding rhyme for example 'at', they will draw a cat, hat etc
• Go with the flow letter options for single, digraph and rhyme of the day
