New Back to school worksheets - 6 worksheets
I have designed six worksheets that I think would be great for the first week back at school:
1) My Friends - if would be great to get an idea on the first day who their friends are. It might be nice to use this sheet at the end of the year also especially when deciding on splitting classes. You could use it at the start and the end.
2) Speed chatting - this is a fun sheet to break the ice on the first day. There is a set of questions they can go around the classroom asking each other. They can do this in pairs or individually. There is 10 rows so you could print twice or just get them to ask ten people. There is an editable sheet also that you could use for another time.
3) What Colour are your eyes? - Again another simple activity to keep them busy. Get the children to walk around the classroom and see what colour eyes their classmates have. Do a count at the end to see who has it right.
4) Summer Holidays - There is three options to use here, one with two boxes or four boxes. Get them to draw two or four things they did on their summer holidays and talk about it.
5) Numbers and Name - This one is handy to do at the start of the year. Get them to write in number 1 and then go back after Christmas and get them to write in line number 2 to see how they have improved with writing their name and numbers.
6) What did we do today? - A great worksheet for the parents to see on the first day. A great conversation starter when they get home.
