Read, Draw & Write Worksheets

These are great editable worksheets you can use all year round for sounds and word families. These are sheets I will use after introducing a sound as a whole class and I will also use them in stations. These are great for assessing how well the children know that sound or if you need to spend more time on it.

Included in the folder is the following:

1) 3 rows pdf -On the left hand side of the worksheet you can write three sounds or family rhymes you want the class to work on. Usually I would include one word on each row to help the children but you can keep this blank if you want. The children will write and draw their own words belonging to that sound or rhyme

2) 9 box option for one sound -Here you write the sound you are working on at the top and then write one or two rows of words belonging to that sound for them to read and draw and then leave one or two rows blank where they have to write their own words and then draw their pictures to match.

3) 12 box option for one sound -Here you write the sound again but you have 12 boxes. If this sound is a sound that lends itself to more boxes then choose this option. Again you are working on the sound that you are doing at the time and then write one or two rows of words belonging to that sound for them to read and draw and then leave one or two rows blank where they have to write their own words.

Two font options have been included in this folder:

• One is a regular Comic Sans font
